Vardan Melikyan is an environmental policy expert and climate resilience strategist with around 20 years of experience working at the intersection of nature conservation, sustainable finance, and public governance. As the Founder and CEO of Greenvance LLC, he leads the firm’s mission to deliver innovative, science-driven solutions that support resilient ecosystems, sound environmental policy, and sustainable development.

Formerly serving as Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Environment, Vardan has led national and international initiatives on biodiversity conservation, forestry governance, and climate adaptation. He has advised governments, international organizations, and NGOs, including the ADB, UNDP, UNEP, GIZ, and the World Bank, and is widely recognized for his strategic leadership in advancing environmental reform and green investment.
