Development of Strategic Environmental Documents (EPIU Project)

Armenia, Grant Thornton, 2026

  • Development of a research report on climate change risks’ mitigation and adaptation in Armenia and a risk map.
  • Development of environmental protection strategy of Armenia.
  • Development of NDA Manual guiding the main strategic aspects of cooperation with the GCF.

 

Preparation of Seismic Safety Improvement Program 3

Armenia, Asian Development Bank, 2025-2026

  • Identification of the program activities that are sensitive to climate/weather conditions based on review of available documents and information.
  • Calculation of climate financing contributions.
  • Carrying out climate risk and adaptation assessment to be incorporated in the program design and estimate their costs, and prepare the climate change assessment including Paris agreement alignment.
  • Development of the adaptation and mitigation measures and incorporation of these in the program documents.

Development of “Increased Climate Resilience of South Caucasus Mountain Communities and Ecosystems Through Wildfire Risk Reduction” Project Proposal

Armenia, Georgia, UNDP, 2025

  • Review of the latest AF requirements relevant to the regional project proposals to inform the revisions and updates to UNDP’s fully-developed regional proposal for Armenia and Georgia.
  • Updating of the full funding proposal as necessary, including baseline data/baseline analysis, climate risk analysis, barrier analysis, proposed activities, description of the project sites, indicators and targets in the results framework, based on the data collection and consultations carried out in Armenia and Georgia.
  • Revision and updating of the “Environmental and Social Management Framework” of the project to ensure full compliance with the Environmental and Social Principles (ESP) of the Adaptation Fund, as well as UNDP’s Social and Environmental Standards (SES).
  • Revision and updating of the “Gender Assessment and Action Plan” of the project proposal to align with the with relevant AF and UNDP policies.

Institutional Policy Review and Development (EPIU Project)

Armenia, E Co Ltd, 2025-2026

  • Analysis of overlaps, duplications and contradictions between the main policies and institutions involved in forest management in Armenia and provision of technical assistance in the drafting of legal acts relating to landscape restoration and forest and wetland management.
  • Development of a capacity-building plan.
  • Development of a gender analysis of both the legal framework of the forestry sector and the current situation and making recommendations for achieving the gender action plan established by the RESILAND project.

 

Support to the Development of a Forest Sector MRV System for Georgia (GIZ Project)

Georgia, HEAT GmbH, 2024-2025

  • Overall responsibility for the advisory packages of the contractor (quality and deadlines).
  • Coordinating and ensuring communication with GIZ, partners and others involved in the project.
  • Personnel management, identifying the need for short-term assignments within the available budget, as well as planning and steering assignments and supporting short-term experts.
  • Technical backstopping and quality assurance.
  • Regular reporting in accordance with deadlines.

Technical Assistance to the EU Delegation to Armenia for the Identification and Formulation of Future Actions in the Field of Green Development and Climate Change

Armenia, Landell Mills, 2024-2025

  • Assisting the EU Delegation to Armenia (EUD) and the Government of Armenia (GOA) in the identification and formulation of future programmes.
  • Providing expertise to further stakeholders’ understanding of how to progress green economic development in Armenia (needs, opportunities, policies, tools, and programmes, etc.) – especially in regions.
  • Delivering key lessons, defining priorities, and providing recommendations to assist the EUD in their decision-making and contribute to the drafting of the Annual Action Plan 2024.

Armenia: Enabling Climate-Smart Regional and Local Infrastructure Development in Selected Communities (World Bank Project)

Armenia, ADWISE, 2024-2025

  • Identification and prioritization of green and climate smart investments to reduce GHG emissions and increase the climate resilience of new and existing infrastructure across 3 communities of Armenia.
  • Development of climate-smart action plans (C-SAPs) for the communities of Areni (Vayots Dzor); Dilijan (Tavush), and Goris, (Syunik) and enhancing regional and municipal capacities for low carbon investment planning.
  • Complementing and/or strengthening the climate considerations of potential investments under the Armenia Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Project.

Strengthening Environmental Resilience and Fostering Sustainable Economy for Lake Sevan (ADB Project)

Armenia, ADWISE, 2024

  • Backstopping of the project implementation by the expert team.
  • Assisting the Ministry of Environment of Armenia in building comprehensive understanding and management capacity for tourist potential, environmental value, and sustainable development possibilities within the recreational zone of Sevan National Park.
  • Production of reports to serve as a foundation for making informed decisions and developing sustainable strategies for promoting tourism while preserving the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the area.
